No recoil mechanics in Tarkov are about vertical climb, not a magic laser that ignores ergo. Guns still have patterns. The tool flattens the kick so an AK or M4 stays on the thorax you already aimed. Tune per weapon or you will over-control a pistol and under-control a 7.62 rifle.
What the tool actually flattens
Escape from Tarkov recoil is mostly vertical with some horizontal walk. Attachments, ergo, and stance already change it. A recoil module applies extra compensation so the stream stays flatter. It does not add damage or change ammo.
Per-weapon profiles matter. An MP5 in dorms is not an RSASS on Woods. One global “max” slider is how you look robotic and still miss.
Pair recoil with aim, not instead of it
Recoil keeps bullets in a column. Aimbot puts that column on a bone. Use both at conservative values. Recoil alone will not track a strafe. Aim alone will climb off a kicky gun.
Read the target first
If armor detection says class 6 and your ammo is weak, a laser spray into the plate is still a lost mag. Recoil is for the gun you should already be shooting. Check class, then hold the trigger.
Keep some pattern
Zero recoil plus instant head lock is a highlight reel and a report magnet. Leave a little climb. Burst on long range. Full auto only when the overlay and the range say it is a thorax dump.

Does no recoil make every Tarkov gun a laser?
It flattens climb. First-shot accuracy, ammo, and range still matter. A DMR at 100 meters is not an SMG in a bathroom.
Should I use the same recoil profile on every gun?
No. Save profiles per weapon class. Over-compensating a low-recoil SMG looks worse than under-compensating a 7.62 AK.
Do I still need muzzle brakes and grips?
Yes. In-game attachments still change the base pattern. The module works on top of that. A meta build plus mild compensation is cleaner than a stock gun plus max slider.
Is no recoil enough without aimbot?
For players who already track well, yes. For most raids, a small FOV aim plus recoil is the pair. ESP still finds the target.
Why did recoil feel wrong after a patch?
Gun stats or offsets moved. Wait for a Status rebuild. Tweaking sliders on an old build will not fix a stale pattern.
